High Country Genetics wants to wish everyone out there a very happy and prosperous New Year!
2016 was an amazing and productive year for the HCG team! We worked hard to get our marketing materials, packaging and products ready for the public, and we can say that it has absolutely positively paid off!
We are proud to announce that out of several hundred entries at the 2016 Emerald Cup, Dec. 10-11th, High Country Genetics ranked among the 25th percentile, winning 14th place for best flower! Yesssssss!!! Our strain Candy Apple, a Sativa dominant, fruit forward beauty and beast, was entered by Push Farms/Dr. Gold Thumb/Caviar Puff. We are beyond stoked that they believed in our genetics and entered it into the competition. We are honored to have been included amongst some of the most elite growers and genetics companies in the cannabis industry.
Some more excellent news: We just got a call today from Jamaica informing us that once again our flagship strain, Candy Apple won another competition! This time Candy Apple took first place for best Indoor Sativa and first place for best Outdoor Sativa at the Rastafari Rootzfest and Ganjamaica Cup in Negril, Jamaica December 9-11, 2016. We are thrilled that we are so quickly picking up steam and getting international recognition. Big ups and many thanks to Bali and Tristan in Kingston for bringing our genetics to the island. We will be there to see you soon!
